About Olga Kreiskop

Olga has been painting for as long as she can remember and simply cannot stop. Acrylic is her preferred medium due to its versatility: it allows her to work both thick and textured or thin and smooth, with quick-drying layers that let her paint in one go — something oil paints don’t offer.

Olga loves details, light, shadow, and form. Nature is her main source of inspiration, and she is fascinated by capturing its beauty in small details. Her goal is to achieve maximum realism with a minimal number of brushstrokes and paint layers. It is a delicate balance between precision and the urgency to express the feeling before it fades.

She was born, raised, and educated in Moscow, Russia. Currently, she lives and works in Barcelona, Spain. The rich cultural heritage of both cities influences her artistic vision and inspires her work.

Being an artist means she cannot stop creating. Even without a specific goal, the act of creation itself is the purpose.

Through her paintings, she wants viewers to experience aesthetic pleasure and share the joy she feels while painting — to pass that feeling on as they observe her work.

Olga signs all her artworks as “O. Kreiskop,” which is her maiden name and artistic signature. Her legal name is Olga Gukasova, and both names may appear in official documents or communication.
